Seattle Food Tours - Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay cash?

Tickets must be purchased in advance, and tours often sell out quickly. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa or Mastercard. Cash is not accepted.

What if I don't have a Visa or Mastercard?

Please e-mail us at info@seattlefoodtours.com with your preferred method of payment. We will try to accommodate your needs.

Are there special rates for seniors or children?

Currently we do not have discounted tickets.

Can children come on the tour?

Children are welcome. We love kids! If they will be eating on the tour, it will be necessary to purchase a ticket for them. This tour involves about 2.5 hours of walking and may not be suitable for all ages. Strollers may be difficult to maneuver on the hills, stairs and cobblestones. We recommend a front/back pack. Seattle-based REI has great carriers and packs!

How much food is served on the tour?

There are about 6-7 stops for tasting's on the tour. For most people, there is enough food that lunch afterwards is not necessary.

What types of foods are served on the tour?

We currently visit an artisan bakery, Vietnamese eatery, a regional bakery, a chowder house, Seattle's oldest Mexican kitchen and a coffee house. In addition, the tour will have a seasonal surprise! Our tasting's are subject to change without notice.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know if you or anyone in your party has a dietary restriction when you purchase your tickets. We will try to accommodate your special food needs. It will not be possible to arrange special tasting's without advance notice.

Are there vegetarian options on the tour?

There are several tasting's that include fish or shellfish. We will try to accommodate vegetarian requests at these stops with something just as delicious. Please let us know of your special food needs when you purchase your tickets.

Are there kosher options on the tour?

Unfortunately, we do not offer kosher foods on this particular tour.

What beverages are served on the tour?

Each guest is provided with one bottle of water during the tour. We start the tour in true Seattle fashion with a latte.

What restaurants do we visit on the tour?

The majority of our tasting's are from eateries. We do not sit down at any restaurants. We will highlight our favorite restaurants, their menus, signature dishes, chefs, etc., as we pass by.

Can I take pictures or video on the tour?

Yes! Seattle is beautiful and we encourage pictures.

Can we shop on the tour?

We will point out great boutiques, gift shops and specialty shops that you may wish to visit after the tour. We stick to a pretty tight schedule so that we may incorporate all the great sights and tasting's offered during the tour. Believe us, you will want to leave time after the tour to do some shopping!

Can pets come on the tour?

Seattle is a pet-friendly city. We will even pass by a great urban off-leash park. However, with exception of guide dogs, pets are not allowed on the tour.

Can we book a private tour?

Private tours are available and can be arranged directly through us. Please use the 'Contact this seller' link at the top of the page.

Are gift certificates available?

What if it is raining on the day of our tour?

We're Seattleites. A little rain doesn't slow us down. Tours take place rain or shine. Be sure to check the forecast and dress appropriately.

Are restrooms available during the tour?

Yes, there are a number of restrooms available during this tour.

What is your cancellation policy?

Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled, as they guarantee your spot on the tour.
